SaloneSatellite WorldWide Moscow 2017
The SaloneSatellite, the platform for emerging designers under 35, is an unmissable occasion for direct contact with the leading furniture sector companies, and an opportunity for personal growth for its young participants, given the chance of interface with other designers and the critical judgement of experts within the sector.
The 37 young designers involved were selected from among the top students at the leading design schools in Russia and the post-Soviet countries. They showcased a wide variety of projects, ranging from eminently classic design to the latest trends, or referencing their own cultural traditions. Most of all they demonstrated an increasingly committed approach to design.
A Jury composed of sectoral professionals awarded the three best products and the top three winners will be invited to the SaloneSatellite, held under the umbrella of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, in April. Members of the Jury were: Barbara Abele, Associate Professor Art Academy of Latvia; Livia Ballabio, Architect, Jumbo Collection; Stefano Bordone, President Kundalini; Cristina Celestino, Designer, ex SaloneSatellite; Ciarmoli Queda Studio, Architects; Elena Lazareva, Director, WK School of art and Design, London, United Kingdom; Olga Kosyreva, Design Editor, Vogue Russia; Ekaterina Peganova, Editor-in-Chief, Interni Russia; Andrea Vaiani, Commercial Director, Salone del Mobile.Milano; Patrizia Malfatti, International Press Office Coordination Manager, Salone del Mobile.Milano; Marva Griffin, Founder and Curator SaloneSatellite.
